Well Well Well,

This week and part of last

Ran 6 miles Current Season Record
Ran lunch 3.1 miles ~ 29:03 yesterday and 28:59 Today. Both Current Season Records

I am using the term Current Season as I have had bouts of fattyness between "seasons" of running. I love running but I can nto compare the current effort and results to 3 years ago, or 20 years ago, thus I will just call this time the current season.

Also I sort of like that no one comments here, It gives this a diary feel. It will be interesting to read of my efforts and foibles when I am an old (er) man.

LOL

I wonder what the oldest guy to finish a Marathon this year is.... (Googled) wow 94. Now I do not figure to be the one guy, but who knows what it will be like in 2058.

Right now I want to run the 1/2 in Seaside and finsih on the same day I start. under my own power without medical intervention.

Ok so these are my running shoes, for better or worse, well ok not for worse, I would dump them in a heartbeat if I could find better. The trick is I would have to buy other, then run on them for some time to determine if they are better. I am not willing to take that time at this point in my newly found running infancy. So lets just hope....for better.

Feeling very drawn to the West Coast right now. It is all good, as I understand some of why. I think part of it is grass and greener etc, part of it is something new. Part of it is nostalgia, part of it is concern for both my mom and dad. I worry that there is not really anyone to take care of them........ I am concerned that since Grams has moved to Carson City, that T is coming home to an empty house.

The easy thing to do is to stay put here in Northwest Florida, but I am not sure it is the right thing to do.......

Very comfortable 40 minute run today. I believe my body is beginning to remember. That feels good. Now for something epic. thats all I need right, something epic. Lord help me.

A nice 4.8

4.8 in 53:46, Not sure what that is, but it is Penguin slow, but it matters not. I went that distance and was not dying!

All of that running over the summer is paying off now as the weather cools, I am ok showing defininate improvements.

Diet is still stuck at 200, +/- a little each day, so I need to get into that downward spiral again!

Tonight is Ultimate so that will help a little.

Lets see 29:07 / 3 is less than 10 minute miles, even I can do that math! Woot.

Best run on the new program so far. My Running partner should be given a huge thank you for showing up with shoes every day. Ben, Thanks a ton.

Anyhow, I know temperature can play a role and today was a minute and a half faster over three miles, with the temperatures a brisk 75 degrees.

9:23 miles....... that is close to a marathon pace of years gone by. I am getting there. Now back to the weight. I am sorta stuck right at 200 lbs. Hopefully I can snap outta this soon and continue to slip down the slope to fit and trim.

35 left to go.

Brooks Adrenaline GTS 9

OK if it was mental then fine, if it was not fine. Either way the Ascis go back.

I am getting the urge to sign up for a half marathon. How crazy is that!

LOL, never was I one to underdo something .

GT 2140 - Ran three miles today in around 36 minutes. I know, OMG were you walking backwards? LOL, I am not fast right now, but decided to reward myself with new shoes. Was going for the Brooks, Tried and True, but decided to let the guy at the shoe store talk me into these, the worlds most popular running shoe.

Right now I am giving it a 3/10 it felt like I was riding a flat tire. Mushy. Like I was running in soft sand or something like it. I know one three mile run does not justify throwing these in the garbage, so Iwill try them seriously for a month.

But for sure can the idea of buying a second pair just to keep these fresh.

Humbug, my diet sucked today.

Ran several times this weekend.

Did ok, Ran several times this weekend at Adventures Unlimited, outdoor camping area on the river. Canoed, picked up the tumped over canoe, :)

All in all a good weekend. Ran nearly an hour non-stop, a slight improvement.

I am looking at new running shoes today... pretty excited about that!

Brooks Adrenaline GTS 9 ( I can not believe I am still running the 5s and 6s!)

Guh, just did a review of the Brooks GTS and they got trashed! I feel stuck now as to what to do.
